Baseball to Host Bryant for In-State Showdown on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team will look to keep its three-game winning streak going on Tuesday afternoon when the Bears welcome Bryant to Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium for a non-league matchup.

Bryant holds a 23-12 all-time mark against Brown since 1993. Brown won three of the four games between the two schools in 2025. Prior to that, Bryant had won 14 of the previous 15 matchups dating back to 2017.

- The Bears are coming off a three-game sweep of Princeton over the weekend, winning 14-1 in the middle game on Saturday, and book ended the weekend with a pair of 4-0 victories.
- Sophomore first baseman Christian Butera is riding an eight-game on-base streak and has a hit in six of those games.
- Senior Mika Petersen has reached base in 13 of the last 14 games, and has a hit in nine of the last 11 games.
- Senior Mark Henshon has reached base in 14 of his last 16 games.
- Sophomore outfielder Alex Benevento enters Tuesday riding a six-game hitting streak.
- Senior DJ Dillehay has a reached base in 12 of the last 14 games and leads the team with 19 RBIs after picking up five more over the weekend.
- Freshman shortstop Matt Luigs is hitting .269 and leads the team with 14 walks and 10 steals.
- Senior left fielder Logan Meusy has a hit in four if his last five games.
SCOUTING BRYANT (16-9, 4-2 America East)
- Winners of two in a row and a series win this weekend over NJIT, Bryant has won 11 of its last 13 games.
- Bryant has won five of its first seven weekend series and is a perfect 4-0 in midweek games.
- The Bulldogs picked up non-conference series victories over Davidson, Radford and Sacred Heart. Bryant has won both of its league series.
- Bryant also owns a victory over Big Ten member Rutgers.
- The Bulldogs are hitting .290 as a team, led by Casey Wensley at .412. Wensley also leads the Bulldogs in runs (36), doubles (10), triples (4), RBIs (24) and is tied for the team lead with 14 steals.
- Ellis Garcia is hitting .361 with a team-leading five homers, 22 runs scored and 21 RBIs.
