Providence, RI - Out of 24 teams competing, the Brown women's cross country team finished in first place with 19 points, and secured the top three finishes at the 42nd Annual Albany Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Bears were led by sophomore Kesley Ramsey (Franklin Lakes, NJ), who earned the Bobbi Palma Women's Championship top finish with a time of 17:42.
Bringing in another swift time for Brown was sophomore Michaeline Nelson (McLean, VA) with a 17:42.1, and also sophomore Samantha Adelberg (Washington, DC) who followed right behind with an 18:01.6. Freshman Eliza Webber (Stoddard, NH) brought in Brown's next fastest time with a sixth place finish with an 18:04.0, as well as Lauren Pischel's seventh place performance with a 18:04.5, and freshman Caitlin Stone (Condon, MT) came in eighth with a n 18:04.8.
The Bears will compete at Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Oct. 25, and then compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship on Oct. 31.
