Hanover, NH - The Brown women's cross country team got off to a great start this morning, earning first place at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover. The women combined for a score of 51 points, defeating Northeastern (73), Boston University (75), Dartmouth College (76), Maine (115), Monmouth (127), and UMass (170).
Freshman Eliza Webber (Stoddard, NH) came out strong for the Bears, earning the squad's highest finish with a time of 20:30.90 for second place. Right behind was sophomore Michaeline Nelson (McLean, VA) with a 20:35.20, and then freshman Caitlin Stone (Condon, MT) placing fifth with a 20:45.00.
Rounding out Brown's scoring was freshman Amanda Hermann (Skillman, NJ) with a 21:08.60 (17th), freshman Brianna Rogers (Moorestown, NJ) with a 21:23.90 (24th), Alyse Rocco (Canton, MA) with a 21:30.40 and last but not least freshman Emily Mepham (Sudbury, MA) with a 21:37.20.
The squad is back in action on Friday, Oct. 3, when it travels to Lehigh in Bethleham, PA, for the Paul Short Invitational.
