Women’s Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Natalie Schudrowitz (Milwaukee, Wis.) and senior Taylor Worthy (Medfield, Mass.) both turned in a top-20 finishes to help the Brown women's cross country team place 11th overall at the Paul Short Run Saturday at Lehigh University.

Brown totaled 288 points to place 11th out of 45 teams in the six-kilometer Gold Race, while Yale won the race with 92 points.

Schudrowitz, who earned NCAA All-American status as a sophomore in 2015, placed 17th overall in her first action of the season as she completed the course in a time of 20:29. Worthy, who most recently paced the Bears at the Battle in Beantown, finished 20th overall out of 405 runners as she crossed in a time of 20:31. 

Junior Megan Ratcliffe (Carlisle, Mass.) and rookie Jillian Turner (New Providence, N.J.) placed 72nd and 79th, respectively, in times of 21:07 and 21:12, while senior Lucy Van Kleunen (Philadelphia, Pa.) crossed at 21:25 to round out the scorers. 

In addition, juniors Quinn Bornstein (Peacham, Vt.) and Clare Peabody (Aptos, Calif.) completed the course in times of 21:32 and 21:36, respectively. 

The Bears return to action on Saturday, October 8 at the New England Championships at Franklin Park.
