Women’s Cross Country Earns Fourth at Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, NH- Under the direction of first-year head coach Mitchell Baker, the Brown women's cross country team finished in fourth place at the Dartmouth Invitational in the first meet of the 2011 season. The Big Green won the title with 16 points, followed by Boston College (58), New Hampshire (97), Brown (106) and Middlebury (107). Freshman Leah Eickhoff led all Bear runners with a ninth place finish with a time of 17:37 on the 2.9 mile run.

Following behind Eickhoff was freshman Alexandra Conway with a 17:51 for a 16th place finish overall, and in 29th was freshman Abigail Jones with an 18:20. Junior Angela Rugino ran the course in 18:28 to place 41st, and senior Caitlin Stone posted a time of 18:59 for 53rd place.

Sophomore Sasha Teninty crossed the finish line in 19:01 (55th) and right on her heels was sophomore Connie Emerson with a 19:03 (56th). Rounding out the group was sophomore Megan Palmer with a 19:21 for 64th overall.
