Women's Water Polo Team Ranks in CWPA Top-20 For Academic Success

The Brown women's water polo team ranked in the top-20 on this year's CWPA All-Academic Team list. With a combined GPA of 3.25, Brown also had seven players earn individual honors.

The athletes represent achievement on three levels: Excellent 3.20-3.40, Superior 3.41-3.70, and Outstanding 3.71-4.0, while the Team Honors represent those institutions whose combined team GPA is over 2.75.

Sophomore Roxanne Palmer (Los Alamitos, CA) headlines the list, earning Outstanding recognition after posting a 3.80 GPA. Brown had five athletes earn Superior recognition, including sophomore Anne Deggelman (Portola Valley, CA) with a 3.66, junior Elizabeth Balassone (Los Altos, CA) with a 3.64, sophomore Emily Schwartz (Miami, FL) with a 3.50, junior Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA) with a 3.50, and junior Claire Angyal (Sydney, Australia) with a 3.46. Sophomore Alexis Blaxberg (Miami, FL) posted a 3.27 GPA to earn Excellent recognition.
