Providence, RI - Brown University's Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA) recorded a hat-trick to lead the No. 19-ranked women's water polo team (18-12) to a 7-6 victory over Harvard University on Saturday in the Northern Division regular season finale to earn Northern Division Player of the Week honors.
Playing at "home" on the campus of Wheaton College, Glick scored two of her three goals in the in the first period to stake the Bears to a3 -1 lead after the fight eight minutes of play. She completed the hat-trick in the second quarter to push Browns' lead out to 5-1.
In the second half, the Crimson rallied with a dramatic comeback, but Glick and the Bears' defense locked down to hold on for the win. In the second half, Glick made two saves and drew two ejections to accompany her scoring as the Bears finished the regular season 5-1 in division play to tie Hartwick College for the regular season title.
On the year, she leads the team with 126 points (68 goals, 58 assists) and 34 ejections drawn as Glick has helped Brown to an 18-12 overall record heading into the Northern Division Championship this weekend at Connecticut College.
