New London, CT - In its first CWPA Northern Division game since March 13, the Brown women's water polo team (6-12, 3-1 CWPA North) cruised to a 16-8 win over Connecticut College (2-5, 0-1 CWPA North) at Lott Natatorium on Thursday night. The Bears scored four goals in each quarter, getting out to a 12-3 lead after three quarters to take an easy win.
Sophomore Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA) factored in all but one goal, scoring four and assisting on seven, also adding three steals. Senior Alexis Blaxberg (Pinecrest, FL) had a game high with five goals, notching two assists and two steals. Freshman Joanna Wohlmuth (Manhattan Beach, CA) set a season high with three goals, while senior Emily Schwartz (Miami Beach, FL) added a pair. Sophomore Stephanie Laing (Ann Arbor, MI) made three saves to get the win in the cage.
For the Camels, junior Emma Heishman had four goals. Goalkeeper Jordan Kohnstam had five saves and five steals.
The Bears will travel to Princeton this weekend for games against three CWPA South teams - Maryland, #20 Bucknell, and George Washington.
