Bears Fall to #14 Hartwick, 7-6 in Overtime in ECAC Championships

PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's water polo team (14-6) dropped a 7-6 overtime decision to #14 Hartwick in the championship game of the 2004 ECAC Championship.
Brown was led by senior Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA), who scored two goals to go along with two steals. The Bears also received goals from freshman Claire Angyal (Sydney, Australia), junior Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA), senior Jeanie Ward-Waller (San Antonio, TX), and freshman Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA). Senior Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA) led Brown with two assists, while Angyal and freshman Caitlin Fahey (Seattle, WA) both added one assist.
Lansing led the Bears with four steals, while Lamel added three steals and one block. Ward-Waller, Parente, senior Lauren McGeoch (Cupertino, CA), and sophomore Allison Biner (Moraga, CA) all added two steals.
In net for Brown, senior Keira Heggie (Miami, FL) recorded nine saves and two steals. The Bears continue action on Wednesday, April 14, when they host the US Olympic Team at 6:00 p.m.
