#18 Women's Water Polo Cruises Past Redlands, 8-3

Redlands, CA - The women's water polo team, ranked 18th in the country, improved to 8-3 on the season, with an 8-3 win over Redlands on Tuesday, March 25, in California.

Brown was led by junior Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA), who netted three goals, while freshman Jamie Relth (Carlsbad, CA) notched two goals. Also scoring for the Bears were seniors Tori Barbata (Kailua, HI) and Julie Williams (Berkeley, CA), and junior Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA), who each scored one goal.

Defensively, Brown was led by sophomore Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA), who drew two kick-outs, while Barbata and junior Heidi Wendt (Danville, CA) each drew one kick-out.

In net, junior Keira Heggie (Miami, FL) stopped 15 shots for Brown.

The Bears continue action on March 27, when they take on top-ranked UCLA in Los Angeles, before traveling back to Providence.
