Women's Water Polo Wins Two Games at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT - The women's water polo team improved to 6-2 on the season with a 10-7 win over Harvard and a 15-1 victory over Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon in New London. Junior Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA) and sophomore Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA) led the way with four goals each on the day.

Against Harvard, the Bears and the Crimson were tied 6-6 at the end of the third quarter, but Brown rallied in the final quarter to earn the 10-7 victory. Parente scored four goals, while Livermore added two. Senior Melissa Iagulli (Walnut Creek, CA), junior Jeanie Ward-Waller (San Antonio, TX), and freshman Jamie Relth (Carlsbad, CA) added the other three goals in the win.

Against Connecticut College, Brown had five Bears with two goals each, as Livermore, senior Junior Williams (Berkeley, CA), juniors Lauren McGeoch (Cupertino, CA) and Heidi Wendt (Danville, CA), and freshman Maria DeRiggi (Sacramento, CA) all netted two goals. Scoring the other five goals for Brown were Iagulli, Relth, junior Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA), sophomore Kristin Vollmer (San Antonio, TX), and freshman Allison Biner (Moraga, CA).

Brown continues action on March 23, when the Bears take on San Diego State in California.
