Bears Advance To Fifth Place Game At ECAC Championships With 11-3 Win Over Villanova

College Park, MD - The women's water polo team advanced to the fifth place game after an 11-3 win over Villanova in the ECAC Championships. The Bears outscored Villanova in ever quarter, as they posted 4-0, 2-1, 2-0, and 3-2 quarter scores in the win.

Leading the way for the Bears was sophomore Alexis Blaxberg who netted three goals while sophomore Ally Wyatt and freshman Alexandra Ferguson each netted two goals. Rounding out the scoring for Brown was juniors Caitlin Fahey and Paige Lansing and freshmen Kristin Cuthbertson, and Rory Stanton each recorded a goal.

Sophomore Anne Deggelman made six stops in goal for the Bears shutting out the Wildcats in the first and third quarters.

Brown will take on Harvard for fifth place at the ECAC Championships, taking on the Crimson at 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
