Bears Cruise Past Siena and Utica in First Games of League Tournament

PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's water polo team (11-4) cruised past both Siena and Utica in its first two games of the League Tournament, defeating Siena, 12-0 and Utica, 13-0.

Against Siena, Brown was led by freshman Caitlin Fahey (Seattle, WA), who notched three goals. Freshman Claire Angyal (Sydney, Australia), junior Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA), and freshman Julia Lippe-Klein (Palo Alto, CA) each added two goals. Senior Lauren McGeoch (Cupertino, CA), senior Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA), and senior Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA) all added one goal for the Bears.

Against Utica, Brown was paced by five players, each with two goals, including Livermore, Lippe-Klein, sophomore Allison Biner (Moraga, CA), freshman Karlyanna Kopra (Kamuela, HI), and senior Heidi Wendt (Danville, CA). In addition, Parente, freshman Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA), and freshman Elizabeth Balassone (Los Altos, CA) each added one goal in the win.

The Bears continue action at 7:00 p.m. when they host Marist in their final game of the tournament.
