ONEONTA, NY - The women's water polo team fell to 4-2 on the season, dropping a 7-5 decision to Hartwick on Monday evening. Brown held onto a 1-0 lead after one quarter, but Hartwick outscored the Bears 4-1 in the second quarter to take a 4-2 lead at the half. Each team scored three goals in the second half, and despite outscoring Hartwick 3-1 in the fourth quarter, Brown couldn't net the tying goal.
Brown was led by senior Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA), who had two goals, while freshman Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA) added one goal and one assist. Junior Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA) and senior Jeanie Ward-Waller (San Antonio, TX) each scored one goal and drew one ejection, while sophomore Allison Biner (Moraga, CA) tallied one assist and drew two ejections.
In net for Brown, senior Keira Heggie (Miami, FL) made eight saves.
The Bears continue action on Saturday February 28th, when it hosts the Brown Invitational.
