PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University women's water polo totaled 14 ACWPC All-Academic honorees and 14 CWPA Varsity Scholar-Athlete selections, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches and Collegiate Water Polo Association announced on Friday.

As a team, the Bears compiled a 3,41 grade point average, ranking 10th in the country, seventh among Division I institutions, and third among CWPA schools. The Bears have finished in the top 10 in the team rankings in each of the last nine years. Brown has totaled 10 or more All-Academic selections in six of the last seven years.

Three Bears garnered "Outstanding" accolades for maintaining a GPA between 4.00 and 3.71 – sophomores Maigrie McDougal (Sacramento, Calif.) and Tiffany Zhao (Beaverton, Ore.) and freshman Jamie Smith (Lexington, Ky.). McDougal and Zhao both gained All-Academic honors for the second straight year.

Brown tallied five "Superior" selections for student-athletes with a GPA between 3.70 and 3.41 – seniors Marisa Kolokotronis (Sacramento, Calif.) and Catherine Roach (Colorado Springs, Colo.), junior Ally Donahue (Tampa, Fla.), and sophomores Audrey Flower (Portola Valley, Calif.) and McKenna Miller (Danville, Calif.). Kolokotronis concluded her career with four All-Academic accolades while Flower and Miller both took home All-Academic for the second consecutive season.

The Bears' "Excellent" choices for recording a GPA between 3.40 and 3.20 included senior Shannon Crowley (Seal Beach, Calif.), junior Marisol Dakan (Pasadena, Calif.), sophomore Allison Woo (Arcadia, Calif.), and freshmen Lexi Atwell (La Jolla, Calif.), Hannah Eliot (Los Angeles, Calif.), and Sarah Welch (Beverly, Mass.). Dakan and Woo gained All-Academic plaudits for the third and second straight year respectively.
