Marist's Amanda Armorosa scored a sudden victory power play goal just eight seconds after a draw ejection to give the Red Foxes a dramatic 14-13 double overtime win over Brown in the Bears' opening game of day two action. Armorosa scored four goals, tying Westerman for the game-high.

Brown jumped out to an early 4-1 lead on a pair of Rosen tallies, but Marist rallied back with three unanswered goals – all of which came in the last 1:22 of the quarter – to tie the game at 4-4. Woods and Rosen got to work in the second, rifling in goals to put the Bears up 6-4, but Armorosa had another answer for the Red Foxes with back-to-back strikes to push a 6-6 draw at halftime.

Senior Sarah Presant (Powey, Calif.) cashed in with the go-ahead goal 20 seconds after exiting a timeout to put Brown up 7-6, but Marist retaliated with two goals in the final 47 seconds of the stanza to take its first lead of the game, 8-7.

The Red Foxes looked to put the game out of reach after Alayna Hayick's man-up goal thrust Marist ahead 10-7, but the Bears set out to grind toward a tie as Crowley, Rosen and Westerman rattled off a trio of scores in a mere 1:19 to knot the score at 10-10. The two sides exchanged power play goals to shift to 11-11 and head to overtime.

Sophomore Elizabeth Bolton (Coral Gables, Fla.) fired in to crucial goals in the first extra period, but Marist had an answer for each, including the game-tying power play tally by Brooke Else with 47 seconds left in the quarter. Heading to sudden victory, Armorosa drew the ejection and made it count with the winning goal at the 1:42 mark.
