Three Water Polo Athletes Earn ACWPC All-American Honors

Providence, RI- Brown University water polo student-athletes Lauren Presant (Poway, CA), Stephanie Laing (Ann Arbor, MI) and Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA) have been named Association of Collegiate Water Polo Association Honorable Mention All-Americans, the association recently announced.

The All-American honor is the first for Presant, who was a three-time First Team All-North selection and was a First Team All-East honoree during her career at Brown. This past season, Presant scored 86 goals and handed out 34 assists for 120 points. She leads Brown in career goals (341) and her 100 goals scored in 2009 ranks first all-time for goals scored in a season.

Laing, a two-time All North and All-East selection, has earned her second consecutive Honorable Mention All-American honor. She tallied 372 saves in 1,053 minutes this season, and earned CWPA Northern Division Defensive Player of the Week honors fie times. She holds the Brown University record for saves in a game (24), saves in a season (372) and also saves in a career (1,118).

Glick, a three-time first team All-North selection, led the Bears in scoring with 76 goals and 64 assists for 140 points this season. She holds the Brown record for assists in a game (6), assists in a season (87) and assists in a career (261).
