Los Angeles, CA- The Brown University women’s water polo team (12-5) fell 11-7 to Loyola Marymount on Friday afternoon. Senior Lauren Presant led Brown’s offense with three goals, while Stephanie Laing picked up 13 saves in the cage to lead the Bears’ defense.
Loyola jumped out to a 3-2 lead after the first eight minutes and continued to build a 6-4 lead against Brown heading into halftime. Loyola scored three more goals in the third and two more to win the game, 11-7.
Presant tallied three goals to lead Brown’s offense, while Sarah Glick added two. Also chipping in with goals was Joanna Wohlmuth and Brittany Westerman with one apiece.
