Meyers Named All-Ivy

Nov. 24, 2008

Providence, R.I. - Natalie Meyers was named to the All-Ivy Honorable Mention Team on Monday for the second consecutive year, once again earning recognition for her terrific play in 2008. Meyers was a three-year starter at setter for the Bears, and wraps up her career in third place on the career assist list at Brown.

In 2008, Meyers was an outstanding all-around threat for Bruno, leading the team in attack percentage with a career-high .346, and averaging more than ten assists per game for the third consecutive season. She was also solid on the defensive side, ranking second on the team in digs with 218 overall. For her career, Meyers finishes with 2,999 assists and 848 digs, among the best numbers that Brown volleyball has ever seen.

Meyers also proved her toughness as the season wound down. After a concussion kept her out of a Friday night game against Cornell, she returned the following afternoon, and recorded one of her best games of the season, picking up 55 assists in a win against Columbia.
