Lucia Chudy
Position: Assistant Coach
Lucia Chudy joined the Brown volleyball staff in 1998, and her impact was felt immediately, as the Brown middle blockers stepped up to become a dominant force in the Bear offense. Not only did Brown's blocking improve dramatically over past years, but Chudy's work helped Brown's middles rise to the top of the Ivy League statistical leaders, offensively and defensively.

Chudy is a Woonsocket, Rhode Island native and played volleyball at Utah State for three seasons. She was a member of the 1978 National Championship team, and was also a high jumper for the Aggies track & field squad for two seasons. A member of the U.S. Women's Volleyball Team in 1981, Chudy was a Collegiate All-American. She went on to play professional volleyball in Italy, serving as both head coach and captain during the 1987-89 seasons.
