Princeton, N.J. – Coming off a big win at Penn on Friday night, Brown boasted four players with at least seven kills, but it was not enough against Ivy League-leading Princeton, as the Tigers were victorious, 3-0 (24-26, 23-25, 19-25).
Brown (5-12, 2-5) was down early, 6-1 in the first set, but regrouped to close within a point at 10-9. Despite facing the top team in the Ivy League this season, Bruno was able to hold a deadlock with the Tigers until the 24-all mark. Unfortunately, two attack errors lead to an early 1-0 Princeton lead.
Again, the Tigers (13-16, 6-1) led early in the second set, 12-5, but the Bears fought back again, tying up the frame at 20-all. Despite the valiant effort, Princeton would not cede the advantage, closing out a 2-0 advantage, 25-23.
Brown continued to fight in the third, clawing to within a point of the Tigers at 13-12, but Princeton used a 5-0 run to take control of set on its way to a straight sets win.
