The Brown volleyball squad dropped a tough 3-0 match to Harvard on Saturday afternoon, as the Crimson hit a brisk .266 as a team to roll to the sweep. Rookie Katrina Post led the Bears, tying for the team lead with eight kills, and adding two aces and an assist, but it wasn't enough to keep Bruno from falling to 5-17 on the season, including 1-10 in league play. Harvard improves to 11-12 overall, with a 7-5 mark against Ivy League foes.
The first set was a tight one, as the lead changed hands several times, but Harvard was eventually able to prevail by a 25-22 margin. The Crimson kept that momentum going for the remainder of the match, notching wins in the second and third set by scores of 25-14 and 25-17 respectively.
Sophomore setter Annika Gliottone enjoyed a solid day as the setter, recording 17 assists and five defensive digs, while junior captain Danielle Vaughan added six kills and a team-high three blocks.
The Bears will be back in action on Friday, November 13, when they return home to take on the Cornell Big Red at 5:00 p.m.
