Women Place Fourth In Field Of Eight At Quinnipiac

Hamden, CT - The women's cross country team competed in their second meet of the season today at the Quinnipiac Invitational. The Bears placed fourth making use of a limited squad while most took the week off from competition.

Junior Becky Crossin (Annandale, NJ) placed first for the Bears and twelfth overall with a time of 19:28. Freshmen Emily Bourdeau (Longmeadow, MA) and Colleen Brogan (Haddonfield, NJ) placed sixteenth and twentieth, respectively, completing the course in times of 19:41 and 19:50. Senior Madeleine Marecki (Morris, CT) placed fourth for the Bears and twenty-eigth overall, and sophomore Kat D'Auria (Norwich, CT) earned the last scoring position for Brown in thirty-fourth place.

The Bears will resume competing as a full team next weekend at the Twelfth Annual Iona Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City.
