Hanover, NH - The Brown women's indoor tracka and field team will take part in the 2006 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships beginning on Saturday in Hanover, NH. The Bears have a number of individuals in the running for titles, including seniors Anna Willard and Brittany Grovey.
Willard will be a favorite in the 800 meters as well as in the 1,000 meters. She posted top five times in the Ivy League in each of the events during the season.
Grovey will go into the weekend as the holder of the best triple jump performance in the Ivy League this season as well as the defending champion in the event. Grovey's jump of 43'3.75" at the USATF New England meet was tops in the league. Grovey will also compete in the long jump, where she holds the fourth-best leap in the Ivies this season.
Freshman Dianna Anderson will look to capture her first Heps Title in the 55 meter hurdles. She posted the second best time in the event at the URI Sorlein Invite, clocking in at 8.65.
All three of Brown's relay teams will be in strong contention for titles as the 4x400, 4x800 and 4,000 distance medley teams all earned the third-best times in the league during the regular season.
