Women's XC finishes 8th at Heps

Van Cortlandt Park, NY-- Women's cross country finished in a disappointing 8th place at the Heptagonal Championships in New York on October 31. The Bears had hoped to vie for a spot as high as third, but instead ended up with 187 total points to put them in 8th.

The top five for Brown came in as a pack with sopohomore Anna Willard (Greenwood, ME) finishing first for Brown in 18:46.2, closely followed by sophomore Anya Davidson (Brunswick, ME) in 18:46.6. Senior captain Kristin Ware (Indianapolis, IN) was 38th in 18:52.5, followed by juniors Julie Komosinski (San Diego, CA) in 39th place and Meredith Crocker (Wakefield, RI) in 41st with times of 18:52.8 and 18:53.9, respectively.

The Bears return to action at the NCAA East Regional meet on November 15 at Boston, MA's Franklin Park.
