Women's XC Competes at Heptagonal Championships

New York, NY-- The women's cross country team competed in the Heptagonal Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on October 29, 2004. Sophomore Naja Ferjan (Ljubljana, Slovenia) finished first for the Bears and 13th overall with a time of 18:05.3 over the 5000m course. The Bears took seventh place as a team.

Senior captain Julie Komosinski (San Diego, CA) was next in 28th place with a time of 18:30.3. Sophomore Michol Monaghan (Uniontown, PA) came in third for Bruno and 35th overall. Rounding out the scoring for Brown was Anna Willard '06 (Greenwood, ME) and Jilane Rodgers '06 (Brea, CA).

The Bears return to action on November 13 at the NCAA Regional Championships, also held at Van Cortlandt Park. The gun is scheduled to go off at 9:30am for the varsity race.
