Brown Women's Cross Country Open Up 2002 Season With Perfect Score Against Harvard

Franklin Park, MA - The Brown women's cross-country team opened up its 2002 season at Harvard Saturday afternoon in Franklin Park, MA. The Bears finished with a perfect score of 15 on the day. Harvard finished with a score of 48. Brown had the top five finishers on the day and ten of the top 11.

Sophomore Meredith Crocker placed first overall with a time of 18:32 for the Bears. Freshmen Nora Sullivan finished second with a time of 18:50. Tying for third place, with times of 18:57, were freshman Anna Willard and senior Rosie Woodford. Junior Carolyn Staudt rounded out the top five with a time of 18:59.

Rounding out the top ten for Brown were sophomore Julie Komosinski at seventh, junior Kristin Ware at eighth, freshman Annie Hatch at ninth and sophomore Emma Sarro at tenth.

The Bears next meet will be at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Charlotte, NC on Friday Sept. 27.
