Paul Harkins enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Brown Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country team. His main responsibility is working with the distance and middle distance runners. Harkins received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington in 2000, and went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness Management at Missouri State University. While attending Washington, Harkins was a four-year letterwinner on the Track and Field team and was also the captain of the cross country team. He was a three-time qualifier for Track and Field Pacific-10 Conference Championships. At Missouri State, Harkins was a graduate assistant for both the men's and women's Track and Field and Cross Country teams.
