Track & Field’s Dejournett Primed for NCAA Championship on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Shanelle DeJournett (Knoxville, Tenn.) of the Brown women's track & field team is set to compete at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship this weekend at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Dejournett will compete in the women's high jump finals on Saturday, June 10 at 6:00 PM EST. Live coverage of all four days of competition will be available through ESPN, while the high jump finals will also be streamed live on ESPN3.

Dejournett is one of 24 competitors in the high jump after she placed 11th at the East Preliminary, earning one of the 12 regional tickets to Oregon. She secured a spot with a cleared height of 5-10.50, a season best for the outdoor campaign, placing 11th out of 47 competitors. The senior previously set the school indoor record in the high jump with a mark of 5-11.25 this past winter.
