Brown Track & Field Heads to Ireland/England for 13-Day Tour, Two Competitions
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown University track & field program is pleased to announce that a group of 27 student-athletes and three coaches will be taking a 13-day tour to Ireland and England to compete in two competitions starting on Monday, June 10.

Springfield Named Director of Track & Field/Cross Country at Brown

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kenneth Thompson (Riverdale, N.Y.) placed 19th overall in the triple jump as the Brown track & field team wrapped up the final day of the 2013 NCAA East Preliminary Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, N.C.

Brown Athletics Announces 2013 Award Winners at Fifth Annual Senior Luncheon
The Fifth Annual Brown Athletics Senior Celebration and Awards Luncheon was held at Andrews Dining Hall on Monday, May 20, 2013. Over 275 student-athletes, coaches, staff and distinguished guests were in attendance at the banquet to celebrate another year of success in competition, in the classroom and in the community. President Christina Paxson and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes each took the opportunity to address the room and acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of the class of 2013.

Brown’s distance medley relay team set a new school record on the first day of competition at the Alex Wilson Invitational, held at the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of Notre Dame. They competed amongst an elite field that featured many of the top teams in the nation still looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Craker's School Record in the Weight Throw Paces Brown at the USATF New England Indoor Championships
The Brown women’s track and field program competed in the USATF New England Indoor Championships at Harvard’s Gordon Track on Sunday, February 17. The meet attracted athletes from Boston University, Dartmouth College, the Greater Boston Track Club and several other teams, and also served as Brown’s final competition before the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships next weekend.

Brown Turns in Fast Performances at Boston University
The Brown University track and field program traveled with a partial squad to a make-up meet at Boston University on Thursday, February 14. The abbreviated competition replaced the St. Valentine Invitational that was cancelled this past weekend due to Winter Storm Nemo. In addition to BU, Boston College, Harvard, Dartmouth, Providence College and Northeastern were in attendance.

Several Top Finishes Highlight Brown's Performance at the URI Coaches Tribute Invitational
Brown’s women’s track and field team competed at the URI Track and Field Coaches Tribute Invitational in Kingston, Rhode Island on Saturday. The competition was held in URI’s Mackal Fieldhouse, and included athletes from Providence College, Bryant, Rhode Island, UNH, Fordham and several other schools. Brown scored 60 points overall to earn fifth place in the team scoring.

Ken Hunt Joins Brown Track & Field Staff
Interim Director of Track and Field Tim Springfield announced the hiring of assistant coach Ken Hunt on Monday, completing his coaching staff. Hunt, a veteran Division I coach with stints at Louisiana State, Georgia Southern, Southern Illinois and Marquette, will coach the horizontal and vertical jumping events and multi-events.

Track & Field Combines for 13 Titles at Alden Invitational
Providence, RI- The Brown University track and field program kicked off their 2012-13 indoor season yesterday afternoon at home on the newly renovated Alden Track in the Olney Margolies Athletic Center. The men's and women's team combined for 13 titles over competition from Providence College, Worcester State, Bryant University, URI, and Monroe College.

Providence, RI – Brown University Director of Track & Field, Michelle Eisenreich, has stepped down after 12 years with the program to accept a position at Stanford. Tim Springfield, Brown head men’s cross country coach, has been named Interim Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.
