Before Brown: A four-year letterwinner on the Pullman track & field team and also a three-year letterwinner on the varsity soccer squad ... During the 2009-10 season, Al-Hassan earned a State Championship in the 300-meter hurdles and garnered First Team All-League honors in both the 300m hurdles and in the javelin ... Named her team's Most Valuable Player, was a team captain and also a recipient of the Female Most Inspirational award ... Was also an academic First Team All-Conference honoree ... In 2008-09, Al-Hassan was First Team All-League in the 300m jurdles, javelin and the 4x400m, a state champion 300m hurdler, team MVP and received Academic First Team All-Conference accolades ... In her sophomore year, she was Second Team All-League in the 300m hurdles and First Team All-Conference academics ... During her rookie season, she garnered First Team All-League in the pole vault and Second Team All-League honors in both the 400m and 4x400m ... Also a First Team All-Conference ademics honoree ... In her three years playing soccer, Al-Hassan was a two-time First Team All-League selection as a forward, and a Second Team All-State selection as well.
