Four Bears Earn USTFCCCA Women's Track & Field All-Academic Honors

Providence, RI- Four members of the Brown women's track & field team were among the 551 athletes recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Honorees, the organization announced on Wednesday. Gabriela Baiter (Greenlawn, NY), Lauren Pischel (La Jolla, CA), Brynn Smith (Saco, ME) and Ariel Wright (Oakland, CA) each received All-Academic honors.

In all, 27 Ivy League athletes made the list, with Columbia placing six, Princeton five and Brown, Cornell and Yale each seeing four athletes earn honors. To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary rounds) in their respective event.
