Kerry Meath Wins Singles Finals in Brown Women's Tennis Invitational

The three day event presented every possible weather scenario, from torrential downpours, to sunny skies, to cold, blustery winds. The weather did not prevent the eight team tournament from producing some exciting tennis.
In the Brown effort, Kerry Meath won, (6-4, 6-4) in the finals match of "Flight D" Singles. Also in singles action, Lauren Cheung won the "Flight D" consolation finals match by default.
In doubles play, Candace Garcia and Kerry Meath teamed up to win in "Flight D" finals, while Caroline Casey and Priscilla Zeff won in the "Flight C" doubles final.
Seton Hall University was awarded the Alexis Boss Award for the 2001 Brown Women's Tennis Invitational.
The Bears return to action Friday October 12 to participate in the ECAC Championships.
