Bears Fall to #19 Harvard, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (10-9, 1-5) dropped a 6-1 decision to Harvard in an Ivy League match on Sunday afternoon. Senior Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) picked up Brown's only point with a win at #3 singles.

Harvard swept the doubles point, winning by four games at #1 and three games at #2. Brown freshmen Kelley Kirkpatrick (Villanova, PA) and Ashley Pariser (Alexandria, VA) put up a good fight at #3 doubles, but fell, 9-7.

In singles action, the Crimson won the match winning at #1, #4, and #2, but Arlak put Brown on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 win at #3.

The Bears close out the 2005 season on Wednesday when they host Yale at 2:00 p.m.
