Bears Fall to Dartmouth, 5-2

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (5-11, 1-4) dropped a 5-2 decision to Dartmouth on Friday afternoon. The Big Green won the doubles point and earned victories in four of six singles matches for the 5-2 final.

Junior Daisy Ames (Atlanta, GA) and freshman Brett Finkelstein (North Caldwell, NJ) earned Brown's lone win in doubles action, picking up an 8-4 victory at #3.

In singles action, Finkelstein posted a hard-faught three-set win at #4, winning 2-6, 7-5, 3-2 (6). Junior Michelle Pautler (Kamuela, HI) earned the Bears' other win, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #6 singles.

The Bears continue action on Sunday, April 23, when they travel to Cambridge to face #18 Harvard at 12:00 noon.
