PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's tennis team, ranked #68 in the nation, opened its Ivy League schedule on Friday afternoon against #18 Harvard, and fell to the Crimson by a 7-0 score.
In doubles action, junior Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Stephanie Falconi (New York, NY) gave the Crimson the toughest fight at #3, but fell 8-6. In singles action, Falconi put forth a valiant effort at #6, but fell 6-4, 7-5.
The Bears, who now have n 11-6 overall record and an 0-1 mark in the Ivy League, will look to rebound on Sunday, April 6, when they face Dartmouth at 12:00 noon in Hanover.
