Women's Tennis Improves to 8-4 With 5-0 Win Over Boston University

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team won all three doubles matches and all four singles matches played, en route to a 5-0 win over Boston University on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Kerry Meath (St. Paul, MN) led the way, combining with sophomore Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) for an 8-4 win at #1 doubles, winning at #1 singles (6-3, 6-4).
Junior Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Stephanie Falconi (New York, NY) combined for an 8-2 win at #2 doubles, while freshmen Kimberly Singer (Newport Beach, CA) and Rachel Williams (Bethesda, MD) combined for an 8-6 win at #3 doubles as Brown claimed the doubles point.
In singles action, the Bears were also victorious at #2, where Beck won (6-2,6-2), at #3, where freshman Yelena Klurfeld won (6-2, 6-0), and at #4, where Arlak won (3-6, 6-3, 10-4).
Brown continues action on Sunday, March 23, at UC Santa Barbara in a 2:00 p.m. match.
