The women's tennis team defeated Boston College on Sunday afternoon, 4-3, earning their first win over the Eagles since the fall of 1993. With the win, the Bears also remain undefeated in the spring with a 5-0 record (7-1) overall.
Freshman Kerry Meath and junior Caroline Casey led the way for the Bears, winning the lone doubles match for Brown, 8-5 at #3, and each winning their singles matches. Meath improved to 16-1 with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 win at #4, while Casey improved to 12-5 with a win at #5 (7-5, 6-3). In other singles action, sophomore Victoria Beck won at #2 (5-7, 6-3, 6-4) and freshman Alex Arlak won at #3 (2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (9-7)).
Brown continues action on Wednesday, March 20, when they host Boston University at 2:00 p.m. in the Pizzitola Sports Center.
