Bears Fall to Boston University, 4-3

BOSTON, MA - The Brown women's tennis team (3-2) dropped a close, 4-3, decision to Boston University, on Sunday, February 27. The Terriers opened the match by taking the doubles point, and the two teams split the six singles matches.

In doubles action, Brown's lone win came at #3, where the freshman duo of Kelley Kirkpatrick (Villanova, PA) and Ashley Pariser (Alexandria, VA) picked up a 9-8 (5) victory.

In singles action, the Bears claimed the top two spots, as sophomore Amanda Saiontz (Miami, FL) earned a 6-3, 0-5 (ret) win at #1, while senior Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at #2. Brown's other win came at #4, where sophomore Daisy Ames (Atlanta, GA) posted a 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 win.

The Bears continue action this Sunday, March 6, when they travel to NJ, to take on Rutgers in an 11:00 a.m. match.
