Kim Singer had an outstanding freshman year with an 18-1 singles record for the spring of 2003. These achievements earned her recognition from the Brown Athletic Department, naming her Brown's Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for the 2002-2003 school year. Kim grew up on the hard courts of Southern California, and in the juniors for 2001, she ranked #75 Nationally in the Girl's 16's, and #29 in Southern California in the Girl's 18's. She was the winner of the 2001 Southern Open and a semi-finalist in the 2000 Florida Bush Open. She played at the #2 singles position for her high school, Corona del Mar, the CIF Division IV Champions in her junior year, and Pacific Coast League Champions in 9th-11th grades. A tireless worker, Kim is a great addition, who will comtinue to add elements and weapons to her game that will pay off in future years in both the singles and doubles line-ups.
