Cecily Dubusker joins the Brown tennis staff after a successful
stint as the assistant at the University of Missouri. In 2003, her
first full year of coaching, the Tigers had their most successful
season in school history, where they reached a program-high
national ranking of #34, completed a regular season record of 15-9
in the highly competitive Big XII conference, and received their
first berth into the NCAA team tournament. Gaining valuable
experience while working with some of the best talent in the
country, Dubusker formulated a coaching method that focused on
mental toughness and court awareness.
As a player, Dubusker knew no less success. She was the top
player at Drake University for four years, shattering school
records for singles and doubles wins. She received only the second
national ranking in school history, topping out at #83 during her
senior campaign. She was All-Missouri Valley Conference during each
of her four years at Drake, and led the Bulldogs to two NCAA team
appearances in 1999 and 2000. Also an exceptional student, Dubusker
graduated magna cum laude with a degree in magazine journalism in
2002. E-Mail Coach
