No. 72 Women’s Tennis Defeated by No. 54 Dartmouth, 5-2

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 72 Brown women's tennis team was defeated by No. 54 Dartmouth, 5-2, at the Brown Varsity Tennis Courts on Friday.

The Big Green captured the doubles point with wins in second and third doubles. 

In singles play, Dartmouth won the first four spots before freshman Katie Ta (Mission Viejo, Calif.) won fifth singles, 5-7, 6-4, 2-2 (3). Senior Ammu Mandalap (Princeton Junction, N.J.) posted a 7-5, 7-5 win in sixth singles in her last home match of her career.

The Bears next travel to No. 58 Harvard for an Ivy League match on Sunday, April 17, staring at 1:00 p.m.
