Women's Tennis Narrowly Edged by Harvard, 4-3

BOSTON, Mass. – The Brown women's tennis team scored wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles slots on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as the Harvard Crimson claimed a hard fought 4-3 victory at the Murr Center.  The Bears drop to 13-8 and 2-3 in Ivy League play this season.

Dayna Lord continued her strong freshman season as she defeated Spencer Liang, 6-4, 7-6 (3) to claim a No. 1 singles win.  Sophomore Hannah Camhi followed suit with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 triumph over Harvard's Monica Lin.

The Crimson rebounded to split the singles matches and claim the lone doubles point as Amy He/Amanda Lin upended Brown's Ashley Noyes/Ammu Mandalap, 8-7 (4) in the No. 3 doubles slot.  Mandalap added a victory in her No. 5 singles contest, cruising past Hannah Morrill, 6-2, 6-0.

Brown will return to action on Sunday with a home contest versus Dartmouth beginning at 12 p.m.
