#68 Women’s Tennis Defeats Binghamton, 7-0, and Providence, 4-1

PROVIDENCE, RI – The 68th-ranked Brown women's tennis team (3-2) posted a pair of wins on Sunday, earning a 7-0 victory over Binghamton and a 4-1 decision over cross-town rival Providence College. The double header marked Brown's return to the courts for the first time in over two weeks after last weekend's ECAC Championship was cancelled due to the blizzard that struck the New England region.

Against the Bearcats, Brown dominated in both singles and doubles, winning all nine matches. Senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY) continued their strong start to the spring, combining for a win at #1 doubles and winning their respective singles matches at the top two positions.

Sophomores Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL) and Sarah Kandath (Gansevoort, NY) combined for a win at #2 doubles and then won their singles matches at #4 and #3, respectively, while freshmen Ashley Noyes (Marblehead, MA) and Olivia Hsu (Santa Rosa, CA) teamed up for a win at #3 doubles and then claimed victories at #5 and #6 singles, respectively.

Against the Friars, the teams played a four-and-one format. Camhi teams with Noyes for an 8-2 win in the lone doubles match, while Brown got singles victories from Krasowski at #1, Kandath at #2, and Uberoi at #3.

Brown returns to action on Friday evening when it travels to Boston College to face the Eagles in a 5:00 p.m. match.
