Herzberg Falls in ITA Regional Singles Final
NEW HAVEN, CT - Sophomore Cassandra Herzberg (Miami Beach, FL),
who combined with junior Binaca Aboubakare (Orange, CA) to win the
ITA Regional Doubles title, advanced to the singles final, before
falling to Holly Cao of Harvard. Herzberg won five-straight matches
along the way to finish with 10 combined wins at the
tournament.
Seeded ninth, Herzberg earned wins over three ranked opponents,
including a semi-final victory over fifth-seeded Hilary Bartlett of
Princeton, whom she defeated, 6-1, 7-5.
