Brown Women's Swimming Takes Fourth in the Ivy Championships

After the final day of competition at the Ivy League Championships the Bears remained in the fourth place spot with 1064.50 points. Princeton led the competition with 1361 with Harvard and Yale finishing second and third respectively. The seniors led the way for Brown with Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA) and Lindsey Hoban (Duxbury, MA), and Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK) taking top finishes in at least four events each.

In the 200-yard backstroke, the Bears took a third place finish with Hoban swimming at 2:02.45. In the next event, the 100-yard free, Brown took a 1-2-4 finish behind Daniels, McCoy, and sophomore Eileen Robinson (Harbour Grace, NF).

In the 200-yard butterfly, freshman Ashley Wallace (Chatham, NJ) took a third place finish for the Bears.

In the final event of the competition, Brown took first in the 400-yard free relay with McCoy, Daniels, Robinson and sophomore Lauren Hinkson (Perrysburg, OH) swimming at 3:23.75.
