Brown Women's Swim Team in 4th Place After First Day at Ivy's

After one day of competition at the Ivy League Championship held at Harvard, the Bears are in fourth place with 303 points, only 29 points out of third place. Leading the competition is Harvard with 411.50 points. Leading the Bears is senior Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA) who took a first place finish in two events.
In the first event of the day, Brown took a first place finish in the 200-yard free relay with Daniels, and Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK) and sophomores Eileen Robinson (Harbour Grace, NF) and Lauren Hinkson (Perrsburg, OH) leading the way.
Daniels and McCoy finished up for the Bears taking a first and third finish in the 50-yard free later in the day to give Brown a fourth place finish after the first day of competition.
Swimming will resume on Friday with the trials beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the finals at 6:00 p.m.
