BRISTOL, RI - The Brown women's swimming and diving team (2-5, 2-5) dropped its final meet of the regular season, falling to Yale, 183-116 in a meet hosted by the Bears at Roger Williams University. Brown picked up five wins on the day as the Bulldogs earned victories in the other 11 events en route to the win.
The Bears opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay, as the team of freshman Sage Erskine (Arlington, VA), senior Ally Wyatt (Ypsilanti, MI), senior Lauren Zatorski (Winnetka, IL), and freshman Candice Sisouvanvieng-Kim (Albuquerque, NM) posted a time of 1:50.07.
Junior Ainsley McFadgen (Glace Bay, NS) led Brown in the 1000 free, earning a time of 10:31.68, good for second, while Erskine posted the Bears' top time in the 200 free, earning third with a time of 1:57.98. Brown picked up its first win on the day in the 100 back, in which junior Sarah Goodman (Philadelphia, PA) clocked in at 59.82.
Wyatt was Brown's top finisher in the 100 breast, earning a time of 1:09.24 for fourth place, while freshman Natascha Mangan (Keizer, OR) posted a time of 2:07.63 to finish in second in the 200 fly. Goodman earned a second place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.14, while Sisouvanvieng-Kim was third with a time of 25.15.
In the first diving event of the day, sophomore Katie Olko (Harrison, NY) earned a score of 241.94 to take second in the 1-meter board.
Sophomore Susannah Ford (Cambridge, MA) tied for second in the 100 free, posting a time of 54.34, while freshman Kelly Wisinger (Warren, NJ) earned Brown's second win of the day, earning a time of 2:05.08 in the 200 back. Wyatt led Brown in the 200 breast, clocking in at 2:27.30 to finish in fourth, while McFadgen earned a time of 5:11.26 to finish in third in the 500 free. Mangan then picked up the Bears' third victory of the day, winning the 100 fly with a time of 59.33.
Junior Jessica Williams (McLean, VA) and Olko took second and third on the 3-meter board, scoring a 252.52 and a 249.15, respectively.
Brown closed out the meet with a first place finish in the 400 free relay, as the team of Sisouvanvieng-Kim, Ford, Goodman, and freshman Stephanie Pollard (Victoria, BC) earned a time of 3:37.18.
