HANOVER, NH - The women's swimming and diving team improved to 1-2 on the season with a 122-106 victory over Dartmouth on Friday evening. The Bears won six of the nine relay events, and six of 11 overall.
The team of junior Lindsay Hoban (Duxbury, MA), and freshmen Beth Adler (Havertown, PA), Elizabeth Wong (Santa Monica, CA), and Ali Will (Mequon, WI) took first in the 400 medley relay in a time of 4:04.65.
The team of juniors Jean Lee (Valrico, FL) and Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA), freshman Katey Mirch (Reno, NV), and sophomore Michelle Roach (Barrington, RI) followed with a first place finish in the next event, the 800 free relay, in a time of 8:03.35.
Four freshmen, Eileen Robinson (Harbour Grace, NF), Wong, Adler, and Will swam their way to a first place finish in the 200 free relay (1:39.51), while sophomore Mariana Chuck (Kingston, Jamaica), freshman Lauren Hinkson (Perrysburg, OH), Hoban, and Lee grabbed first in the 200 medley relay (1:53.64).
Daniels, McCoy, Wong, and Adler combined for a first place finish in the 100 free relay (45.85), while Hoban, Lee, freshman Michelle Oeser (Eliot, ME), and junior Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK) won the 400 free relay (3:37.28).
In diving action, senior Kristin Duffy (Cheshire, CT) dove to a third place finish on the 1-Meter with a score of 243.82, while freshman Dana Meadow (Chicago, IL) grabbed fourth with a 239.54. Duffy placed third on the 3-Meter with a 247.27, followed by Meadow in fourth with a 237.37.
Brown continues action on Sunday, January 19, 2003, when the Bears swim at Penn at 12:00 noon.
