The Brown women's swimming and diving team (1-0, 1-0) opened the 2008-2009 season with a 164-136 win over Dartmouth in New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. Highlighting the afternoon was freshman Allyson Schumacher's (Des Moines, WA) time of 1:52.25 in the 200 Free, which broke Dartmouth's pool record in the event, previously held by Grace Corneilus of Princeton, who swam a 1:52.57 in 1995. Swimmers Recognized at Year-End Banquet
The Brown women's swimming and diving team celebrated the conclusion of the 2007-2008 season and handed out four awards, the Florence Filippo MVP Award, the Dave Roach Coaches Award, the Martha Juokowsky Scholar-Athlete Award, and the Service Award, to deserving members of the team. (MORE)

Winter Academic All-Ivy Honorees Announced
The Ivy League released its spring list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with ten Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average. (MORE)
